Alexandria got on the scoreboard quick, taking advantage of 5 first inning walks, along with 3 first inning hits including a double by Madison Bradley. Copenhagen started the bottom of the 1st with an inside the park home run by leadoff hitter Samantha Stokely. Alexandria added 1 run in the second, and Copenhagen closed the gap with 3 runs, including a leadoff triple by Jolena Larracuente. Alexandria would get their last 4 runs of the game in the 3rd including a Sierra Fasshauer RBI double, but a Copenhagen pitching change mid-inning would change the complexion of the game. Alexandria would finish the game with only three more hits, including a Hailey Fadden double. Copenhagen would go on to add 5 runs in the 3rd, stringing together 5 singles and an RBI double by catcher Delaney Petrie before getting blanked in the 4th, Copenhagen would add 5 more runs in the 5th, with a leadoff triple by Samantha Stokely, followed a few batters later by a Madison Cheek RBI triple, and a Delaney Petrie double and another RBI double by Grace Crauder. Copenhagen tacked on two insurance runs in the 6th. Samantha Stokely went 4 for 4 with 5 runs, a triple, a HR, 2 stolen bases and 3 RBI. Caitlynn Case earned her first varsity win in relief, Aubriana Simmons went 2-3 and scored 4 runs, adding 3 stolen bases, and Delaney Petrie 3-5, adding two doubles and 2 RBI to the winning effort.
